Heaven launched in Melksham in February. We have a fantastic
range of home made cupcakes, ice cream shakes, luxury coffee and
hot chocolate. Because we know some of you need an excuse for a
cupcake, we also serve a great breakfast and lunch too,

Local
events
There are many local events organised through the hard work of the council,
local businesses, and the local community. Here are just some of the local
events hosted by organisations in the area.
- 22nd
May 2010. Calne
Lions Club Duck Race:
Over 3000 plastic ducks race for charity from Somerfield
car park, down the river Marden, past Beach Terrace and the
library and towards the finish at Marden House.
- 13th
June 2010. Bowood
Dog Show and Country Fair.
A host of charities including Macmillan Cancer Support have benefited from
the Bowood event for the last four years, which has raise almost £100,000,
whilst being a fun day out for all.
- 17th-21st
June 2010. Calne
Twinning. Calne will welcome visitors
from twin towns Eningen-unter-Achalm in Germany, Caln Township
in Philadelphia and Charlieu in France.
- 19th-20th
June 2010. Calne Summer Festival. Events planned include:
Carnival Procession (4pm on Saturday), Children's Village,
Arts & Craft Market, Street Stalls, Funfair, Live Music & Entertainment,
Town Crier Competition, Classic Car Display. Check out developments

- 3rd-4th
July 2010. Calne
Country Music Festival.
Two day festival weekend with live music, stalls and competitions. All proceeds
to charity.
- 24th
July 2010. Calne
Rotary Club Motorcycle Meet.
Now in its tenth year this free all day event includes ride ins, vintage
bikes, stalls, and entertainment. Proceeds to rotarian, local and motorcycle
charities.
- 1st
to 10th October 2010.
Calne
Music and Arts festival. This year the festival includes
concerts, poetry and photo competition, arts workshops and
displays for
adults and children.
- 5th
November 2010. Calne
Fireworks spectacular. This years
fireworks have changed venue and will take place at the new
Beversbrook
sports ground.
- Saturday
27th November 2010. Winter
festival - Lantern
Parade and Lights switch-on.
Fantastic handmade lanterns are paraded through the town, and the town
lights are switched on. Street entertainers, stalls, music
and fun. Book now for the Mexican evening at the Patch of
Blue that night - warm yourself up after the lanterns.
